World champion Sara Muñoz heads a group of eight world champions in the Colombian delegation for the 2nd Stop of the Pan-American Speed Track Series, an international club competition to be held in Guayaquil, Ecuador, from October 29 to November 1, 2026. The continental event will bring together about 500 skaters from nine American countries—Brazil, El Salvador, Colombia, Ecuador, Chile, Peru, Venezuela, Guatemala, and Mexico—plus invited nation Switzerland. Colombia's representation includes athletes from 32 clubs across youth, transition, and senior categories. Among the national figures competing in Ecuador are world champions Sara Muñoz and Valeria Rodríguez (Paen de Antioquia), Carlos Jesús Pisciotti (Midas del Cesar), Kiara Luz Vásquez (Mario Durán del Atlántico), Sara Sofía Portela and Steven Villegas (Power Skate del Valle del Cauca), Pablo Felipe Marín (Team Caldas), and Sebastián Flórez (Bont Suramérica), as well as world medalists Tomás Moncada (Paen) and Brayan Santiago Virgüez (Semillas del Meta). The sports program begins Thursday, October 29, with qualifying series for the 200-meter head-to-head in pre-youth, youth, and senior categories. Later, minors in the mini 8, 9, and 10 divisions will contest clockwise inline races and 200-meter-plus-distance sprints. The day continues with the transition/intermediate category—pre-infant (11), infant (12), and junior (13)—in the 200-meter-plus-distance event, and concludes with finals of the 200-meter head-to-head in pre-youth, youth, and senior categories. The second stop also serves as a qualifier for the 2026 World Cup Speed Track Series final, scheduled November 13–16 in Xinhua, China, for senior competitors.
