ODYTA Summary

On 3 and 4 October 2026, Arganda del Rey (Madrid) will host a weekend of speed skating that combines tradition, competition, and a new event: the first Arganda del Rey Skating Half Marathon. The event is organised by the Club Municipal de Patinaje de Arganda del Rey, with collaboration from the Ayuntamiento de Arganda, technical direction from the Federación Madrileña de Patinaje, and supervision from the Comité Nacional de Patinaje de Velocidad de la RFEP. Registration remains open until 28 September 2026, with different fees depending on category and events chosen. On Saturday 3 October, the XXX edition of the Trofeo Nacional de Patinaje de Velocidad “Arganda del Rey 2026” will take place at the patinódromo of the Ciudad Deportiva Príncipe Felipe. The competition includes categories from Mini and Prebenjamín to Sénior and Máster, both female and male, as well as promotional and popular skating events. Morning races will mainly be speed events, while afternoon events include long-distance races, the 10,000-metre points race for the Absolute category, and American relays. The Absolute 10,000-metre race will offer cash prizes, while other categories will receive trophies or medals for top finishers. The track is 200 metres in circumference, six metres wide, banked, and specifically prepared for speed skating. On Sunday 4 October, from approximately 09:30, the first Arganda del Rey Skating Half Marathon will be held. The route of approximately 21 kilometres through the town’s streets, mainly along Avenida de Madrid, will offer a different setting for skating. A 10-kilometre race and a popular skate will also take place, aimed at bringing the sport closer to fans and families. The weekend aims to become a meeting point for Spanish skating, celebrating both competition and the simple joy of skating.
